such a loss.... will migrate over to GC- and try to copy over the 'cuttings that root in water' list! I refer back to that thread every few months--- apologies if this has been covered but will the forum remain available (although not updated) as a library?

That does not seem to be the plan currently, unfortunately.
I feel rather abandoned...... shame on you garderners world-- so many passionate and generous people just tossed aside.... hopefully like compost we'll transition to something useful!
Just looking at the Gardeners Corner site. It’s going to take a while for me to navigate, as it seems rather complicated to me. I’ve also looked at the sign up page, but didn’t like the compulsory date of birth requirement. I’m sure there is a way round that. Doesnt look like it’s easy to refuse advert cookies either. However, it was cheery to see a few familiar names already there, or recently joined. Will someone be able to set up a thread for us to find members of our old ‘tribe’? I was relieved to read many of the other comments on here, and find I’m not the only one who feels as if we are a part of a community. It’s been a positive experience for me, and as well as the access to almost instantaneous, personalised gardening advice, I will miss the friendship.
I've not posted a lot recently, for personal reasons, but I've lurked on Forkers and read most of the other threads - I've learned a lot, and feel that so many of you are friends, whether I've met you or not... I'll try joining Gardeners Corner I think. Can't imagine it'll be the same vibe, though... What a loss...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I always add a couple of days and a year to any request for DOB in places where accuracy isn't needed...had been a victim of impersonation in the past so not a huge fan of giving such personal info on a gardening forum @Ergates

Don't think you can create different threads on WhatsApp though. It's just one linear conversation.
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
