I think so @Songbird-2, unless there's already an AnniD on there, in which case l will have to come up with a cunning plan. "AnniD2", or "Old Bat aka AnniD". It sounds like they may be having an influx of new members over the next week or so. It reminds me of starting senior school.
I've just realised I had opened an account there [G's Corner] many years ago too , but I don't like the name I picked, so I may have to see about changing it.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I’ve just had a look at that site and have found the Recent Discussions but have no idea how to register! It’s so different to this site, and on first glance, was quite overwhelming. I can see a good browse around is in order. I’ll look out for @AnniD. I can see there is a place for gardening threads which aren’t garden related. May start a thread there…if I can work it out.😳
I personally feel very disappointed that the GW Team has made this decision. Given how popular gardening has become recently and how many people still post their first posting on here with queries proves how the site is still much used. Why then mend/get rid of something when it isn’t broken?
I, like many of us, are extremely sad to see the end of an active forum, but what grieves me more is the loss of the archived posts. These contain a vast amount of priceless gardening knowledge, advice and inspiration.
Is there any way we could lobby to keep the archive content available and ideally searchable via the main GW forum? Not too much to ask, surely?
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I think you have to wait for admin to accept but its been years ago since I signed up on Gardeners corner so maybe wrong.
I've also been on - Gardening forum - its more of international forum plant / garden enquiring from USA - UK - to east Asia etc it was ok but difficult to give advise.
I don't know other forums but interested where everyone goes to .
