I tend to agree with you @Beastie29 , but then again the people from here want to get planted in there before the summer comes! I'm also pretty sure a lot of the GC members will be pleased their forum is appreciated.

Oh dear...not sure what the problem is. I've seen lots of genuine engagement with the existing members of that forum. What are all the new joiners have to do to please you @Beastie29 you're being so superior about it all 🤣 chill out.

I have dabbled, but mainly snooped around to get the feel for the forum. Came across this thread here which feels familiar . Might be of use to some who are unsure to just look at it?

Superior?  Gee, I didn't realise!  Chill out?  Okay.  Chilling out over here.
    Happy, now?

Doesn't bother me, really,  star gaze lily.  I'm just fascinated by the dynamics of group behaviour,  'the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts'  kind of thing, that's all.  Part of my everyday working life.

I'll leave you all to get on with it, now, and wish you all the very best.

I've been on quite a few forums for many different reasons and I do think @Beastie29 has a very valid point. Just imagine (I don't know the numbers) if this forum had twice as many people making many more posts and messing it up. No, I don't think that is the case, but some on there might. I'm sure all will be okay and it's certainly not worth people here falling out over it

I agree with @Beastie29 in that the GC people seem to be trying to make the GW people welcome but surely the GW lot should try to integrate rather than try and establish a clone of this forum with the same threads etc.

if that sounds ‘superior’ to some people, then so be it.

I've been doing my best to mix. I never posted in the forkers or resurrected threads anyway. It's just one forum amongst many - unlike here with a very small number. They're not doing any harm that I can see.
