I'd just like to add on here that l had the same problem @Escarpment, and the mod l was in touch with said that if anyone is struggling with email notifications, either for threads and/or conversation messages (PMs), then they can do it for you.
They are fully appreciative of the situation we find ourselves in and are only too happy to help.
They seem to have the patience of Saints (thank goodness :) )

Thanks @Ergates, I had already found that setting and switched off the second box for email notifications but on its own that doesn't seem to work. I will try switching off the Automatically Watch one too.
  • I think I have a few good ideas about saving content, just Im not sure GW have given us enough time to enact it..
  • Are there any other software engineers or similar on the forum? If so, can you DM me?

A new thread might get more attention eg a callout for engineers? What do people think?

  • Thanks to all the posters here in this forum who have provided so much good advice and garden related ideas to myself and others. Very disappointed with gardeners world for shutting down this community but good to see some have moved to gardeners corner where I also have an account. Had linked an add for gardeners world on my youtube channel but will be removing it now due to their decision to shut down the online community of gardeners that their site had allowed. As I have already mentioned a very disappointing and difficult to understand decision.

    Happy gardening!

I also dont want to draw _too_ much attention, if that makes sense
