I went to join the corner forum but found I already had under the alias Tulip291. Never posted there, though because this one was better. Hopefully we can meet up there in a few weels.
Well this certainly sucks As much as moving to a new forum is an option, you can't just transplant a community into new soil and expect it to thrive. I'm a member of a few forums where I hardly post at all unless I have a question that I need help answering. In all honesty I was probably going to take a step back anyway as I'm applying to start studying ecology in the Autumn and on top of work and kids that's going to stretch my time very thin. I will miss having an outlet for my angst and all the wildlife chat. I've really enjoyed this place and it's been a lifeline through lockdowns and hard times.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I’m a member of the RSPB forum but I mostly just lerk about in the background. It’s not bad but it’s not here. (I’ve just changed my username and picture on there to SherwoodArrow) I’ve found even with the faults and glitches this site has, it works much smoother and flows better than other forums. I look in here most days and have been on here since it was the BBC so I will definitely miss it.
Maybe someone who knows how to can set up a (private?) Facebook group so those who want to can keep in touch?
Or WhatsApp?
I'm afraid I've never seen a FB group which is anything like as good as a forum. It's next to impossible, in my experience anyway, to find older content on FB. On any decent forum you can at least check through topic titles to see if there's anything of interest.

I'm sure we'll all miss the stories (tales of woe?) about the kids.

Failure is always an option.
