I shall miss all the regulars on this forum. I feel I know some of you quite well, despite never having met, or even know what your names are! This is usually my first port of call each day, and I’m feeling quite shocked. Im not keen on the idea of either Facebook or WhatsApp, but I’d be interested to hear others experiences of alternative forums. I’ll miss my ‘virtual’ friends, but at least I could ask gardening questions.
Devastating news that this Forum is closing. I've been coming here since 2012 and I'll miss it. It was great to chat with gardeners from England when I felt like an isolated English gardener in France. Things have changed a bit since I moved house in France to a place where there is an active gardening club and also I come to England regularly to OH's house.
I can see how the Forum could be a life line to many, apart from the gardening knowledge.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I can't believe it. I was just getting my life back and this forum is a big part of that. Not been on here recently very much due to horrendous toothache and no dentist. Everything is falling apart. I will miss this community.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus
I have looked in at Gardeners Corner and l believe there are several GW Forum members on there who might be able to comment. I don't know if they have a PM facility though ?
Yes @AnniD, I'm one of them. I only joined recently but have found it pretty friendly. Most of the jokey stuff I've posted on the 'Sense of Humus' thread has come from there! But it's more of a proper gardening forum so might not give the 'chinwag-ers' the outlet they're looking for. It does have a PM facility though.

I really don't want to say more.
Such is life.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
