I am raising my mug of deca tea to you and your family Dove. I think that Rob probably knows the date today but doesn't want to make a fuss or remind you (as if you would forget, but then you are the parent and he is the child). And even better if he is not thinking about it!
How is your neck today? Glad that you have heard a bit of good news 😊

    Good afternoon everyone,

It’s been a much better day, weather wise, with even the odd glimpse of sun. It’s amazing how it cheers the spirit to see a bit of sunshine.

We went to church this morning and then popped out for lunch, so I’m not doing any cooking tonight.

My goodness @Dovefromabove, it’s hard to believe that a year has passed since Rob’s accident. I’m glad to read you have had some good news this morning - you certainly deserve some 😁.

I hope everyone has a lovely evening.

    Thanks everyone 🤗
My neck was sore at night and woke me several times, but not too bad now, as long as I’m careful 🤞

    Good evening everyone!!

The rain abated but the wind certainly did not and it gathered strength today and this afternoon.  I dug my vegetable patch  for about 40 minutes this morning - well worth it after yesterday's rain.  About a quarter of that large bed done.  Maybe a little more tomorrow!!   :|

Goodness @Dovefromabove is it a year already?   I agree with @coccinella  that Rob is probably aware of what day it is today, but would rather just live through the day - no bells and whistles.  You certainly have had lots of support from those around you.  Virtual and real.  Hope you are keeping your neck still and warm.

An afternoon with hottie on my right cheek and a couple of episodes before I watched Ireland hammer the poor Italians.  Time to close the shutters and hanker down for the night.  A pot of pea and bacon hock soup for supper with a Turkish flatbread and salad.

Maybe a trip to the tip tomorrow with my weddings and a break from digging.

A pleasant evening to you all.

Sun appeared and disappeared all morning, so after our usual weekend breakfast treat of pancakes and fruit, we popped down to the seaside. Packed out, as you’d expect for the beginning of half term, but we got a parking space and had an invigorating walk along the prom and back. Started to rain just as we got back to the car, but it was good to have some exercise and fresh air without wading through mud.
Had a glass of wine with our late lunch ( roast chicken pieces with spices, sweet potato and salad with rocket, watercress and grated carrot. )  Then a lazy couple of hours reading, ( me) and watching rugby (OH).
Cant believe its a year since your son’s injury, @Dovefromabove He has done well, such a relief for you all. Hope your neck continues to heal.

Morning everyone.  Warm fine morning again. Hopefully it doesn’t get too hot.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A bright morning here in Norfolk and dry so far, but I’m not expect that to last … the forecast says rain …

Good morning and good afternoon to Pat

Sky a little lighter this morning, we might even see some sun.
Bad night, I came to the conclusion that some people are born just to wind others up. They have nothing constructive to say so they rubbish everybody else's thoughts and opinions.
Today I will prune the 2 roses at the front and inspect the newly acquired slugs. I have always kept quiet about my slug free garden, but now I can join in the general anguish 🤣. I think it is the disappearance of hedgehogs, I haven't seen any since the new houses were built with concrete walls for boundary. Sad.

Hope you all have a decent monday.

Sunny here, so hoping to get into the garden for first time since surgery.
