MorningĀ Pat E, Dove and Busy-Lizzie.Ā I woke early at 6.30 am so got up for a cup of tea and read so I didn't disturb OH - who's still sound asleep I think. Read back my 2017 and 2018 garden diaries, interesting to see just how much work I was doing in the garden then. Wish I still had that much energy. I'm a bit dismayed (but expected it) to find that as I have reduced my steroid dosage, the ache in my shoulder is beginning to come back - blast! It's my right shoulder as well so difficult. Hope your bad neck doesn't make life too difficult for you Dove.
Sorry you had such a stressful day @Busy-Lizzie. Our friend left at 11.30 am to go home to Essex and was also caught up in all the congestion on the M25 so it took him four hours. We realized afterwards that of course it was (a) Friday afternoon and (b) the start of the kids half term holiday so was bound to be much worse than usual. Hope you can both recuperate and have a quiet time today.
It's a little colder today with perhaps a light frost on the lawn earlier but dry with no wind thankfully and the sun is appearing. Hopefully a good gardening day.
Morning everyone,Ā well it's not actually raining but not really dry. I really must try and do a few bits today.Ā Had another triage call with hospital Physio yesterday, I have toĀ call back next week to make appointment for face to face appointment now. If the Osteopath wasn't so expensive I would just stick with himĀ but now at Ā£85 quid a time IĀ have to keep him for emergencies only.Ā @Busy-Lizzie, yes I was going to say the same as @Lizzie27about M25.Ā We always use the A1 route when we visit our friends in Norfolk nowadays.Ā
yes another grey day but as long as it doesn't rain I can prune the roses that I wanted to do yesterday.Ā I bought some snowdrops in the green, couldn't resist. I have already planted them yesterday afternoon while my neighbour (another one š) came out to tell me about her issues with her new man. So what would have taken half an hour, took nearly two and it got dark and damp. Don't get me wrong, I am more than willing to lend a shoulder but I wish she'd knock on the door (any time, I told her) instead of waiting until I am outside spade and trowel in hand. I know, I know ... just because I am lucky with my OH.Ā
We both reached for the paracetamol last night @Dove mine is self inflicted though (snowdrops). You have done the right thing to book a RV with the doctor.
Marmite and tea! such a classic boot filler for Brits living in Europe @Busy-Lizzie. I used to buy plants too ... but that's gone of course. Hope you get all the papers your OH needs in time for your return to France.
Hope your shoulder behaves @Lizzie27 take it easy in the garden.Ā
I admire your and C's fortitude in dealing with that London trip and all the paperwork @Busy-Lizzie.Ā Bloody Brexit. Sorry to read you are still in pain @Dovefromabove - hope the doc can sort some physio for you.Ā Can't believe it is nearly 4 years since you got the Alfa! A bit more doodling on the laptop then off into town for me.Ā That always sounds so grand - a 5-10 minute walk up the road to where the shops are!
Itās Ā a bit brighter here today, but still damp and chilly. I canāt seem to get myself motivated to do anything much at the moment. I just wish it would dry up a bit. Still, the beautiful spring flowers are putting in an appearance and they always lift the spirits.
I hope the paracetamol helps a bit @Dovefromabove, but it certainly sounds as if some physio will help more, and as suggested, try a wheat bag if youāve got one. Take it easy today and you, too, @Lizzie27.
Hello all, just catching up with you all. Hugs to all with bad necks and shoulders in fact all with aches and pains! We had a technician here yesterday to link us up to fibre which is down in the road, followed by an electrician who we need to do some moving of plugs which are in awkward places. Thank goodness they came yesterday when it was dry and not today, it's cold, wet and windy.Ā I now need to transfer my emails to another account as we are using a different internet provider, but so far it doesn't seem like an easy task. I think an afternoon and evening watching rugby is on the cards and a chilli to make for this evening.

We slept well, needed to after yesterday.
I'm going to the hairdresser this afternoon, getting rather shaggy, haven't been since the autumn.
We have been invited to dinner tonight with our favourite friends.
