@Rubee so pleased you had a nice birthday. Hope you get some good gardening weather to get your plants in. What did you have?Β

Morning Biglad, Busy, Debs and Ruby. I've been out in the garden and the bird baths have all got a layer of ice on them. Primroses, hellebores and snowdrops are still flowering happily despite the cold snap.
Busy you are absolutely right about sowing the tomatoes. I do not usually sow tomatoes so early but as this was an experiment I am just curious to see if any of the seeds I saved from last year's tomatoes germinate. If they don't I know to buy some fresh seed. If they do germinate I will just coddle them inside until I can transfer them to the greenhouse. My greenhouse does have an electric heater but I tend not to leave suspect plants in there over winter. Enjoy your cake and coffee.
Debs, I remember you telling us about that film the other day and I was telling my friends at lunch yesterday. Two of them are really keen cinema goers and they are going to look out for it.
Ruby, that is my idea of a great birthday gift - lots of plants that will always remind you of your special day as they grow.

    Good afternoon,

It’s wet, cold and miserable here today, although there’s supposed to be a break in the rain around about 2.30 for a couple of hours. It’s certainly not gardening weather today.

Im glad you had a nice birthday @Rubee and I send you belated birthday wishes πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚. The plants will be a lovely reminder of your day.

Hello @Red maple. The weather is very similar here consequently I have been confined to barracks. Even Cricket was unimpressed and decided that one of my knitting bags would make a good bed:

    Good evening all.

Debs and LB, both of them look very comfy and peaceful. Lovely cats.

I was at cottage and done few things. It was quite dark but dry, now is raining again. Poirot is on tv, The Labours of Hercules, quite dark episode.Β

Debs, your Gatsby is such a sweetie!
Ante, I think you sent our rain back again. I have seen Poirot - like you - so many times but I cannot remember that episode.
I am signing out for today. Enjoy your evenings and you enjoy Poirot Ante. I know that you will. See you all tomorrow.

    Good morning all.

I fall asleep very early last night, so this morning was awake around five. It's cloudy, but very peaceful Morning. I can hear just the birds. I have few things to sow, and take care of seedlings in cold frame. They look quite well this year. Spring is definitely here, so here are few photos from my garden this morning.

I forgot to feed them, so she is waiting for food delivery.Β
