    It’s been very mild here too @Marlorena, so I am going to do as you are! Your wonderful photos and notes have inspired me to get my orders in early this year. I have ordered several of your recommendations, so thank you again!

    @Marlorena, I've been pleasantly surprised by my 'Wild Swan'. I bought it pre covid so at least 4-5 years ago I think from Elizabeth McGgregors own nursery in Kirkcudbright in Dumfries & Galloway - we were there on holiday. She had bred it earlier and I'd heard of good reviews. 

    Mine struggled a bit initially and took at least two years to establish, it's in my main bed with full sunshine most of the time, so not ideal. It is now a bigger plant, needs more watering in the height of the summer but I wouldn't be without it and don't want to move it. The back of the petals are a lovely mauvey blue. Hope yours does well for you.

    I hope your Wild Swans do well. I had 3 in France but they all died, maybe the summer was too hot for them there.

    ..this one arrived last October..

    ..a Damselfly just flew in and took shelter on a very hot day in the 90's.. a baby Ladybird to the right..
