1. Fragrant Cloud... some say it's orange/red but it's full on orange to my eyes.. very strong scent will blow you away.. a hybrid tea type. ..no photo..
2. Summer Song, a David Austin Rose.. large terracotta orange blooms, scented, rather floppy habit, but it's a rose everybody wants who can't get it.
3. Odelia - orange with a strong scent, lovely foliage and does well in a pot..
Clematis aromatica .. a flammula hybrid with a strong scent which wafts. Best planted on a path and needs support as it's herbaceous from ground level.. not self clinging.. This is a first year plant so not that many flowers but a reasonable show..
.. it's easy to miss it and wonder just where the scent is coming from..
After the first flush is over, it should be cut right down, then it will spring up again for a September flush.. Strangely the flowers seem more purple..
I've just been notified I have a box of plants arriving tomorrow from a favourite nursery.. such cheering news ..
Delphinium Aurora series.. strangely the light blue comes back, but the dark one does not.. but I prefer to buy in fresh each year .. Hemerocallis 'Spinne in Lachs' [Spider in Salmon]. I think my most beautiful Daylily. ..flowers 28th June - 8th August.. Dahlia 'Burlesca'.. a tall Pom pom .. I like this type best.. Hesperis matronalis.. just love this plant, sweet violet scent. Grown as an annual.. Sidalcea candida.. a plant of gentle persuasion, quite long flowering, nice with roses. Clematis 'The Vagabond'.. this flowers almost continuously until November.. ..rather Gothic..
@Plantminded thanks.. normally I would put them in the greenhouse for another month, but the weather is so mild that I shall plant them all out, they're all hardy plants.. and I have positions ready.. what would you do?..

It's so beautiful. I have tried so many types of scabious but they always get mildew. I've kind of given up.
