The sparrows have left me half a dozen cherry plum blossoms. That's four more than last year!

Are you tempting providence @B3?   Have you thought of getting out there earlier and using a blusher brush to do some pollinating in hopes of setting some fruit before the blossoms disappear?

I saw a fruit once - many years ago. It was right at the back hidden by a shrub.

A pair of bluetits fluttering about in the Amelanchier this morning, and a Robin singing.  😊

It would be great if somebody could teach my local robins a bit of common sense.  When I'm digging borders the blackbirds sit on the fence and cuss at me until I move if they see a tempting morsel.  The robins actually come down between my feet and I constantly worry about treading on them.

I've had a lovely sunny day in the garden working on a new project. My favourite pastime!

Got out to play in the garden today. Filled the council bin with rose clippings. Happy days are here again so long as the weather forecast is wrong.
