Lovely weather today but lost our nerve in the trip to the garden centre yesterday. Torrential rain and floods a few miles from home. Naturally as we approached home, bright sunshine🙄
    Try again tomorrow.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

It's been an absolutely glorious day here for a welcome change. Three hours in the garden! Now why didn't I think of the pub?

I did also manage to completely fill the garden waste bin with branches from an elder tree, so I wasn't just enjoying myself at the pub.

We had a rare day of sunshine yesterday so OH went out to trim our mixed hedge.  I went out to see if I could play too and was almost frozen by the penetrating wind which he hadn't noticed, being on the leeward side.

On the good side, he's removed lots of nasty brambles and there's some healthy looking wild ivy reaching maturity as it grows up the ash and hawthorn and other natives.

Washing flapping in the sunshine, a pair of robins busy in the honeysuckle … what a beautiful Monday morning 😀

I ignored the forecast and got an hour in the garden before the rain arrived! So pleased I made the effort, it’s really pelting down now.
