Just up the road from here there’s a south facing bank in light woodland … it’s been planted with early daffodils … the first ones were out today … as were the hazel catkins 💚

Driving home this evening across Woodbury Common, with the setting sun behind us. I wish I could have taken a picture. Everything bathed in an amazing deep red light, with the dead beech leaves positively glowing copper. Another breathtaking sight round each bend in the road. Gorgeous.
Yesterday my wife was told that the recent CT scan showed her treatments are holding the cancers at bay. The last six months have been hell, every week populated by an invasive test or a sapping treatment. There is now a ray of hope on the horizon.
