Didn’t see the cricket unfortunately, was so sure we would be thrashed. A quite amazing performance.
How can you lie there and think of England

Clay is wonderfully soft - at the moment. I just gently plucked out a load of weeds. If only it was always thus🙄

Agree with you there. Pulled up a pile of brambles today. So easy! I’d better get as many uprooted as I can, before the ground dries up again.

My other hobby is genealogy and I recently discovered that I'm connected (by marriage only unfortunately!) to Miss Willmott!

@Bluejayway, I'm sure the green fingers have filtered down!  Did you see Friday's episode on GW which had a section on Miss Willmott? Really interesting.

Yes I saw that @Lizzie27 and I recently read the biography of Miss Willmott so you can imagine my surprise when I made the discovery when I was working on the family tree yesterday 😂🤔

Very exciting. Good luck with your family tree.

My RTBC today is that my first daffodil is out, a tiny Tete a Tete in the terrace trough.

Thanks @Lizzie27 , like gardening, cultivating the family tree is a gift that keeps on giving.  Been at it 15 years now ....
