For medics, crossword buffs and, ideally, crossword buff medics.

Every Christmas a village very close to us does a charity quiz fund raiser. This year all answers share the theme of human diseases, parasites, ailments and conditions. For example, ‘The condition of Mama Bear’s porridge may give you a headache’ = Cold.
Most years we manage to answer almost all of the 40 questions but this year our insight is restrained. My wife, the brains of the outfit, is also hampered by ‘chemo brain’. So any help you can offer would be appreciated. The number of letters in the answer is not provided.
