Thank you @Ladybird4 Once I've finished unmentionables, I've got some shredding to do. @Busy-Lizzie hope you get everything you need at the SM @Songbird-2 hope everything goes ok at the dentist.
Er, no!! I know where it's coming from, but, in order to rectify it properly, I (or someone)need to take a shelf and side panel out of the cabinet below the kitchen sink.
To do that, we effectively have to dismantle the entire fitted kitchen - or at least, all the lower units, washing machine, dishwasher, sink, double oven, hob and six cupboards.
That, in turn, would affect the walls, and tiled floor. Grrr!!
There was no leak when we moved in, 40 days ago, and it's been fine until now.
It's the pipe taking the waste water from the main sink and half sink.
We'll get a plumber in. Meanwhile, we'll use the dishwasher, which doesn't affect the leaking joint.
Good morning everyone . I hope those who didn’t sleep well get some rest today . I slept fairly well apart from all three cats deciding to have a run around at two o’clock this morning . I must heel in a new rose that I received yesterday . Take care going out folks .
Update, one delivery apparently came yesterday....typical, when we had to go out after waiting days for it......and a neighbour had taken it in for us. He obviously must have thought we'd knock and retrieve it but there was no card pushed through our door. So, quite late last night, he brought the parcel over for us. So that's one item turned up, just one more now. And we are out this morning 🙇♀️🤦♀️
@rowlandscastle444 hope you're sisters haven't got too much snow. It seems different areas here are completely different to others. We had quite a bit yesterday, but a friend only 6 miles away had hardly any at all. Kent often has it worse than us....especially Ashford...are you near there?
Thank you @star gaze lily We are on the north coast, on Thanet. No snow here this morning.
Wife has driven to see a friend near Maidstone, then on to work. Like you, I'm doing some of those unmentionables. Then I'll take a walk - maybe down to the sea, or to the local farm shop.
Morning Busy, Hazel, Ruby, @rowlandscastle444 and @Bluejayway. Busy, it is cold and sunny here. I've been down the garden and am pleased to say that the pond is no longer underwater. I managed to get down to my compost bin with my collection of banana skins etc. accumulated over a few weeks. I was a little dismayed to see many growths from the flag irises I though I had got rid of last year. Job number one when it warms up. I filled the bird feeders and took the ice off the top of the bird bath. The birds were sitting cheeping in the shrubs as I put the feeder back in place. I had heardly got to the back door before they swarmed in.
Ruby, sounds like a rude awakening this morning I hope that your ground isn't too frozen to get your rose in.
Uh oh @rowlandscastle444, what sounded like a fiddly but smallish job is far more serious than I thought. What a nuisance! I do agree with @Bluejayway about the waterproof tape as a temporary measure.
Good luck at the dentist today Hazel!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Didn't have to wait long at all at dentist. Once in, I was all done and dusted within eight minutes which is good going for our dentist. He sorted the missing filling out, shaved down a sharp tooth, and gave the teeth a good MOT. £70 thank you very much.☹️ But, to me, it's worth it to keep the teeth going for as long as possible.
Completed using hot metal thing and am now relaxing. I think I had got myself quite tense waiting to go to the dentist. He once told me that he had noticed that patients do tend to tense up more the older they got. This is because the older you get the more you know what to expect and what is coming and this causes stress and tension. As a youngster, it is a more " take it as it comes" attitude.
