The bottom one would be bulging for me. Well done! @Lizzie27
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Beautifully stacked and labelled @Lizzie27 All you have to do now is get rid of them - perhaps hang on to OH if he is useful tho  ;)

I have to admit, it's not the only Odds and Sods box I have, this one is just the current gardening one - used to live in the kitchen.
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • Well done. A lot neater than the innumerable shoe boxes I use! Is it an unconscious need to compartmentalise our lives I wonder?
  • By the end of the week, I'll have a load of (hopefully) empty boxes. I wonder if I can use them for storage?

That brings back memories of our last move @rowlandscastle444, think we had something like 67 boxes in all after many trips to the local skip by OH with 'other'stuff. We had a bedroom and dining room  piled up high with them in our new home.
  • We moved here 4 years ago, and still have some flattened cardboard boxes stacked in the shed.  I find them very useful to exclude light from weeds when creating borders or preparing veg beds.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Any that get damaged beyond reuse as boxes can be composted.

Sounds like your move is imminent, @rowlandscastle444? Concentrate on the excitement bit! New home, new neighbourhood, hopefully some nice neighbours. Always easier unpacking than packing, and hopefully no deadline. Having said that, dear daughter still has cardboard boxes in the corner of the living room, 18 months later! Don’t be like that!

There are often people on Freecycle and the like asking for cardboard boxes as they are moving house .
Hope all is slowly coming together @rowlandscastle444 :)
