@Ergates, thanks so much for that advice, makes a lot of sense. Will check on tongue in a magnifying mirror tomorrow morning when the light is better. Tongue doesn't feel swollen. I forget what my dentist called it but I've got an abnormal jaw in that my upper jaw fits inside my lower one, the reverse of most people and had far too many teeth to start with so that may have something to do with it.  I need a check up soon anyway, we have a private dentist.

Disappointing scan yesterday. Treatment hasn't worked even if at the beginning it seemed to. I have to take high thyroid hormones and that is messing up my bones (and sleep and heart). It isn't a catastrophe yet, I have no fractures, but I have to make sure I don't fall. I don't think I ever encountered a colder and more detached doctor as this rheumatologist. Never liked her, impossible to change. Waiting lists are miles long.
I hope 🙏 today will be different regarding the tooth that has to come out.

    Oh that’s a bu$$er @coccinella 🤗
I’m on quite a high dose of levothyroxine… is that what you have to take?
What is it with some doctors … by no means all, but just occasionally you come across one who seems to have no interest in the patient as a human being at all. 😖

Yes, Euthyrox is what I take. I have to stick to this dosage (so that thyroid cancer cells don't start popping up) at least until the next body scintigraphy in February. If that goes well then I hope they will lower the Euthyrox.
She couldn't care less. Treatment failed, goodbye. When I mentioned the back pain she said to make a separate appointment. Dreadful.

If it’s of any help I’m on 150 micrograms a day and have been so for over 20 years and no ill effect on my heart, bones or anything else … I have an annual check.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Thankfully I did get back to sleep … now the world outside is beginning to wake up … a neighbour is out walking his dog and I’m beginning to hear the sound of the occasional car going  past along the road down to the village centre … and my coffee will be arriving shortly…

    Morning all.

Sending sympathy to @coccinella. I wonder why people like that want to be doctors. Surely they know there will be a lot of contact with people needing sympathetic treatment?

I'm taking OH out to lunch today. I'd cancelled it last week when he wasn't well. The restaurant is next to a garden which is open to visit so we'll do that too.
