    That's a tall Diascia @Marlorena. Do you 'Chelsea Chop' your Aster Monch at all? 
    Mine has really grown tall this year and I've had to stake it.

    No,  I don't chelsea chop Lizzie.. I don't do that with anything here actually.. I just cut it down to ground level in winter..
    ..  the clump is quite large now, and I really ought to take the trouble to lift and replant a division in winter, but it's quite a job for me, so I'll think on that.

    Can't you just dig off a clump from the edge? I find a small mattock from Screwfix, (one chopping end, one spike end, invaluable and much easier to attack a dense clump of perennials.

    Well I could Lizzie but I would really want to dig the whole clump up, replant a smaller piece and discard the rest.  It's got much too big.  I have a decent fork, I think that'll do the job.  Thanks for the tip though, I like Screwfix.

    @Nollie I had not seen the vid sent by Fire when I posted that.. as per that he says Phosphate should be used in moderation compared to N and K.. uncle toms tonic has high P and no nitrogen..🤔
