I'm sorry to read of those having work issues, it seems to happen this time of year for some reason. Something a little perverse about it I always think.
On a positive note, one more week until the shortest day... thank goodness..
We have already had some frosts here in the North West, but I think everything is ok in the garden. Whilst we are on the subject of pruning, do I need to prune my newly planted bare roots this winter? If so, do I wait until there is new growth to prune, or prune what is already there? I didn't prune them when I planted them and they are in pots. I have Little Buckaroo, Midnight Blue and Open Arms, which is a climber. I also want to put Open Arms into a bigger pot - when will be he best time to do that?

I was going to say I usually go by Christopher Lloyd's answer to when is the best time to do anything in the garden; "When you feel like it".
