  • It all looks very familiar a mixed bunch some look like they might be good a few looking like they might not, Angela Rippon C.B.E didn't look brilliant but when you consider her age I didn't have a right to think that she would, Bobbie Brazier has a winning smile but does he have the ability to learn dance steps, Angela Scanlon  and Amanda Abbington look likely to do well, for the men Eddie Kadi and Layton Williams although Layton's exuberant campness needs to be reigned in for some dances to succeed. Can't wait for next weeks show I think that Les might be first to go.
  • I forgot it was on and missed the first part. Just seen Les Dennis and thought Anton's comment spot-on.

  • Ah, Annabel Croft & Johannes were so cute, such a loveable pair, really joyous too in their tennis-themed cha cha cha!

Hello all , currently on holiday but watched tonight’s Show
For the first show I thought everyone did well , in-fact some very good performances

  • Loved it, something to keep me occupied on lonely Saturday evenings, getting myself invested right now. No idea who half of them are, but they all worked really hard, good luck to them all. Last chap was very impressive. 😁

Busy day yesterday so we only managed to watch half the recording before heading for bed.   So far it's looking very promising for this year but I do wonder already at some of the scoring, Shirley in particular.

  • Great show really impressed by Ellie Leach I thought that she would struggle with the jive. I thought that there were some week one performances that wouldn't have looked out of place in the final. Craig's scoring fair, Shirley's?

What a fantastic first show!  Kept saying - that's one to watch until I found that I was saying that about practically all of them.  Then we had the final one and - wow!

Have never taken to Les Dennis so hopefully he'll be the first out.

  • @Obelixx Shirley is an incredible dancer and well qualified for the job of head judge but has very obvious biases. When she's scoring lower than Craig it's a bit sus.

@barry island Ellie's jive was incredible, definitely not what you'd expect from a novice on week one.

@februarysgirl I rather think letting her biases sway her voting renders her disqualified as an impartial judge, however competent and experienced.
