Very nice Hosta. I’m trying to get my mind working for Hubby’s birthday tomorrow. Will I or won’t I buy this or that. A quick trip to town on the plan. 😳

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
14C and wall to wall blue sky here this morning.
Many Happy Returns of the Day to Mr @Pat E 🎁 🎂 I hope he’s having a lovely day.
    It’s also my brother’s birthday today 😊

Son will be off to work later this this morning. At one time we wondered if this would ever happen. They’ve had a sofa-bed delivered to his office so if he needs to rest he can.

Oooh I can hear a green woodpecker yaffling out there 😊
    and there’s a songthrush singing 😃

    Hi all

Quick trip to the hospital this morning for some last minute tests, and then maybe a trip into town to buy some books for the next few weeks. I think I need some lighter, easier to read stuff, rather than my more usual fodder.

Happy Birthday to Mr. @Pat E

    Good morning all.

Another hottie today, in fact 38°C is forecast but it is always a bit more.  A friend gave me some dried hibiscus flowers, so I make tea every morning, chill, then drink during the day.  Apparently it is good for anti-inflammation amongst other things, so I'm game.  I add dried citronella and some lime slices.  It's refreshing in the heat.

Keep cool and drink plenty (of water!).

Le jour de Saint Felicité se voit venir avec gaîté, car c'est le plus beau jour de l'été.

Sitting here with my morning cuppa awaiting the forecasted arrival of several days of heavy rain. Sky is looking a bit dark so hopeful coz we have had no significant rain here for ages and it is sooo needed.
A very Happy Birthday to Mr @Pat E and to Dove's brother.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Hubby. it’s actually tomorrow (11/7), but it’s all the same on this side of the world.😇.  I managed to get him a replacement for his favourite George Forman griller - not the same but should do the job for his favourite breakfast of Cheese and bacon toastie. 😂😂

Morning all, some proper summer weather here at last. Not quite as hot as @tui34 down by the Med, just 33 deg for us. Iv'e watered the pots and the farmers are now able to get on with harvesting. My legs are full of insect bites, why me, when OH never gets bitten! We have a plum tree laden with fruit which are just ripening, so looks as if I have plenty of cooking to do!  B)

    Good morning
we have sunshine here at the moment, with showers forecast for this afternoon. Yesterday was better than forecast, the storm didn’t arrive until about 7 pm so I managed to do some tidying in the garden before relaxing with my book.
I hope to do a little more tidying later today if the rain holds off.

    Good morning

It did rain yesterday afternoon but not enough so I watered some pots.
Today is a mix of sun and clouds and not too hot at the moment.
I have been on the phone to the hosp all morning because I have a mammographie on Wednesday but have not received the standard sms. They are not answering the phone but I do have emails to prove my appointment so I am just going to turn up on wednesday with fingers crossed. If something went astray I am not likely to get another appointment for months. It isn't just the UK with waiting lists for checkups.
