As you can see, my post has now received its first flag, I wonder who that was?
Just put in a "like" to counterbalance that flag. ;)

If someone has a problem with a post it should be Reported to the Mods … if you don’t know how to do that it’s very simple … you click on the Flag, then choose the Report option and fill in the text box explaining what you think is wrong about the post.  Only one person needs to do that … unlike the Spam option it doesn’t need five participants to be effective.

The Spam option is for Spam … not posts you might object to for another reason.

Indeed @Dovefromabove - that's what I was saying - it's just a convenient abuse of the flag option.
I've sent a report to the mods regarding this ludicrous situation with flagging, and have also asked if they could comment on the thread to clarify it.  :)
I also took a screenshot of my report.

Sounds like the kind of people who used to write poison pen letters and the internet allows them now  to troll without the cost of a stamp

Have you seen the price of a 2nd class stamp these days @B3 ? 😲

I can't imagine anything upsetting about the post, and wonder if some doddering old dearie (the kind who use their own email address as the title to their first post on the forum) pressed the button by mistake? I mean sometimes I randomly almost flag Youtube videos when I am listening to them and my phone is bumping around in my pocket.

Perhaps some posters misunderstnd  the Flag as a sort of celebratory thing ?  Bit like waving the flag at jubilees, coronations and the like ?
This sounds plausible to me!  :D

It seems that four different people must have hit the flag button by accident and all on the same post🤔

@punkdoc this thread is all about people abusing the Flag option instead of posting a reasoned argument for or against another point of view!

Thank heavens there are plenty of posters about who can comment without being abusive about others and plenty who understand how the SPAM and Report options of the Flag option should be used and not abused.

Not quite off topic but a bit of a dog-leg. I have seen a poster (A) having their post replied to (B) but I can't see the original comment of poster A. Why is this? To the best of my knowledge I have never blocked anyone but where do I go to check?
