I'm off on a work trip for a couple of days tomorrow, so trying to do 3 days work in 5 days before I go. Lovely day here, so I snatched half an hour sitting outside. I hope it's going to be worth it  :/

    Good evening,
had an enjoyable lunch out with friends, then spent some time in the garden tying back roses, doing a spot of deadheading and planting a few cornflower seeds in a spare patch of cleared border which had spring flowers in and looked a bit bare. TV time now for a while.

A quiet day here, keeping cool and resting my back after yesterday’s efforts. I managed to saw off a huge rhododendron Ponticum and dragged the pieces back to the drive one at a time - no weight lifting technique! OH shredded them, and then trimmed the griselinia hedge. Both green bins filled and put out for today’s collection. I even got some of the front laurel hedge trimmed as well. No sign of any birds nests in there this year. One year we had a blackcap nesting right next to the footpath. Luckily it’s not a busy lane, but there are so many semi secluded areas of the garden they could have chosen.
Have just had a lovely phone chat with daughter. Have a lovely time with your daughter and family visiting, Hostafan.

I thought I'd use my time constructively whilst waiting for the arrival of my Daughter and family by making my signature " tray bake ".
I defrosted some chicken thighs yesterday, only to find this evening that they've gone off.
Plan B is some venison meetballs and chorizo.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Blue skies and sunshine … even Ludwig the Blackbird didn’t wake me this morning 😊
Busy day ahead driving son to Broomfield Burns Clinic.  He had a lovely day out by himself yesterday visiting friends and he popped in and saw Wonky and her Lovely Hub and talked football. 😎
