  • @scroggin amazing sweet corn. Ours are only just showing tassles. We are so far behind this year.

The glut of runner beans continues.

Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

After so many years one of our gages (old green) has given us more than 5 fruits. I don't like plums and thought that the gage would be the same but having seeded them for a family dinner tonight thought I would try one. I was amazed at how sweet they are, so maybe tonight I will have some more. This is the 2nd gathering being washed prior to deseeding.

Gages very much underrated , they look lovely...
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!
  • @diggersjo We had the first crop with some sliced figs and blueberries (all from the garden) as afters at the family dinner tonight. Wonderful mixture of tastes. Will deseed the others tomorrow. It has taken nearly 10 years for us to get this harvest but worth it we think.
  • At last our first ripe tomatoesand volunteer potatoes from the rhubarb patch!and the pea beans that have been hiding and now we have such a glut.

I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to do with this many spring onions ( table spoon to compare the size ) we did succession sowing, it's the first year from seed not starts, but they have all come on together 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I can cut up and freeze I have found, but I wonder if they will store?

You can peel the onions, freeze them in a tray and bag them.
