    @Eustace
    How lovely, what's that one called Eustace?..  I'm so pleased it's flowered for you..

    A peony from Bodnant will be worth seeing, looking forward to that, even if only one bud..

    @Marlorena It is Ru Fu Rong.
    Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
    And then my heart with pleasure fills,
    And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

    Yes, @Marlorena, Itohs are a cross between tree and herbaceous peonies. My climate  is marginal for peonies, but it seems intersectionals do best here. I've had several failures in prior years with the herbaceous type - soil is too heavy and winters are too warm. Hopefully my soil amendments and planting high (leaving the crown practically exposed) will do the trick.

    Great selection @Alfie_  I think your red one might be 'Rubra Plena'..  it's a beauty..

    No idea about leaf issues on Irises... so I can't help with that, maybe someone else can?

    Looking forward to seeing your Peonies open up, especially that one with the reddish buds, wonder what that'll be like..

    We really need a bit of warm sun..
