Beautiful blues @Marlorena and yours @pitter-patter.  My Crystal Fountain is just repeating again along with just a few fresh wisteria strands above, can't photo unfortunately as unable to manage the steps yet.

Does anyone prune their group 2/3s in late autumn? Christo Lloyd (who wrote the book on clematis) did that at Dixter (Sussex) and preferred it that way. I tried this last year and my clems where fine, even though the winter was hard. Any thoughts?

Hi! Recently purchased and planted Clematis patens ‘Rebecca’ with all its flowers faded but one button, which opened up yesterday so I can confirm its interesting colour. This time I have followed all the rules, dug a 40cm x 40cm x 40cm hole, filled with good stuff, spread the roots, planted at an incline, etc. etc. Looking forward to its---obligatory---development and flowering next season. ;)
