    Hello Forkers

I am happy that @Busy-Lizzie has reassured you @D0rdogne_Damsel. All will be well.

I am "family irritated" this morning so a potter in the garden will dispel annoyances but I need to do some food shopping first.  Weather is good.

    Be safe, be happy.

Good morning all, the sun has put in an appearance this morning, it seems very bright out there! I'm off for a haircut this morning, the first one in a long time!
Catch up with you all later.

    Hi all

A very nice fridge/freezer it is too, @Hostafan1, just need to put something in it now.

I have to leave it stand for 4 hours before switching it on, then I can swap the contents of the little into it

Oh dear @D0rdogne_Damsel - it's one thing after another - but you'll get there.  On the one hand I think it's good that the French are being serious about making houses more energy efficient - demands which are not even being asked developers here.  Why aren't all new builds fitted with solar panels?  On the other hand - it seems a bit much to expect retrofitting on older properties from the buyers of those properties after the sale has has been agreed.  Sounds too unfair to be true in your case.

Lovely fridge @Hostafan1 and glad you found one to fit the size.

Feel your pain on having to do paperwork @Dovefromabove.  I've now been asked to look after the finances for our Festival group as the organising committee has dwindled to just the few of us who actually do anything.  I didn't mention that they wouldn't even let me take O level maths - a waste of money for the school as I would surely fail.  But I do know my way around a spreadsheet.

    Good afternoon all.

Beautiful sunny day here today.  In fact, rather hot!

Nice side by side - glad it slid into the spot nicely.  @Hostafan1  You'll probably find that it is also cost efficient.

And to add to the story @punkdoc   His mates took his jacket off for him as he was walking across to me.  It was quite nice.  After the dance, he walked me to the nearest phone box as I had to phone my Dad to come and get me.  We quickly dropped hands when the car came into view!!  I was nearly 16.  We went out for quite some time.  I adored him.

Hope the hairdresser's went well @floralies  Nice to be pampered once in a while.

@D0rdogne_Damsel     @Busy-Lizzie is right.  These things a just pointers for the buyer to be aware of - so not hidden problems.  I agree with B-Lizzie too, insulation in the ceiling would be good.  Is the government still offering the 1€ roof insulation scheme?  Worth looking into.  Any renovations which include energy savers should get a "Credit Impot" on your next tax return.  Check that out.

I had a call from my rheumatologist yesterday that there was a cancellation, so I quickly took it.  A cortisone injection in my knee to fill in the crack was given and a prescription and good advice.  I had hip x-rays booked too for yesterday, and they showed up a pinched nerve.  Not operation material, but painful all the same.  I'm seeing the surgeon next month, so will see what he has to say.  I have painkillers but rest is the advice for now, especially after the injection.  (I'm doing my best!!)

I expect you are enjoying the good weather up there in Blighty!!

    Very smart @Hostafan1 👍
And you’re not the only one with a new appliance in your life … our washing machine bearings are on their way out and the machine sounds as if it’s taking off for Mars and will only spin very very fast. It’s ruined a jumper. It’s ten years old and has only had the repair man out once so we’re getting another as close to that one as possible… delivery Tuesday.  Let’s hope this one lasts until then 🤞

And today’s paperwork appears to have been completed to everyone’s satisfaction… Phew!

That story gets better and better, @tui34, I love it. Music does that.
