Does anybody know what this is?! Noticed this morning in one of my raised beds

  • Better picture of the roots. Not sure if these are classed as tuberous or not. Doesnt feel like it'd pull out easily, its well rooted in there.

    Hmmmmm, it does look like JKW. 

    Where did you get the compost from? Can you remember the brand? 
  • It was miracle grow multi purpose compost

    What was there before the raised bed? How long have you lived there? 
  • Ive been here 3 years and it was just a square of concrete when we moved it so i built the raised beds myself last year. The garden that backs onto ours does have a mile a minute vine running over its shed and it hangs over the one corner of the garden during the summer. Could it be from that? I do cut it back as soon as it starts to come over our side

    Well it’s in the same family as JKW so it could well be. 

    Perhaps google has some pics of its undergroundness…..
  • Thought id post an updated pic. Im still none the wiser. Parts of it resemble pics of JKW on google parts of it dont
