I thought this would be the best place to ask. Some of my roses seem to have this bad fungal infection on the rose flower and rose flower only. In somcase the flower doesn't even open up. It's spread to 4 roses and started after this awful rainy weather. It's been particularly heavy where I am. My question is, what is it? And how do i treat it?
@Giardiniere I think you are describing 'balling'.. which happens normally during rainy seasons.. happens to some roses more than others.. if possible you could post some pics..
Ingrid Bergman doing really well in the pot, it's got no scent I can smell although my sense of smell isn't great. Love the colour and large blooms though. This little fellow taking a breather on the African marigolds. Sommergold climber doing better now than earlier in the year, Hopefully it will start to climb up the framework I put in last year. My poets wife is not doing well at present, no more buds forming or growth and just looks a bit unhappy.
Blackspot is rampant among my roses as they are mostly HT roses, which I think are more susceptible. Othello Jean Robie Lady Marmalade Parfum Royal - nicely scented Summer of Love Open Arms Blue Moon Natasha Richardson Ulmer Munster

Lots of excellent rose photos. Could I please ask people who have/had Austin standards which one they rate the best as a standard?
@Marlorena that Penelope bloom is stunning. How do you rate the fragrance compared to your favourite ones for fragrance?
Dark desire throwing out the most gorgeous blooms. Scent is awesome.
Bees seem to be using unopened dahlias as a resting site today 😂
Pretty parfuma. Nice soft pink blooms. Strange shape. Really pleasant scent. Very different to any others I have. Mislabelled by cottage memories but I think I will keep it.
@Eustace I like your 'Jean Robie' rose very much.. interesting breeding too, part Austin..
How does it do for you and where did you get it please? thanks..
I got it from TCL early this year, another one I added to make up the numbers. I like the globular flower shape and the colour too. The colour sort of lightens outward from within, this I like very much. Also unaffected by the recent rainy weather. The scent to me is very mild though, I'm hoping that the scent will improve on a sunny day.

Perhaps a good one for a pot? I am making a new bed now and will soon have some containers free.🤔
@crighton03 your Chandos Beauty looks good!

Boscobel isn't that red...that's my camera's fault. It's softer and prettier. I like it a lot.
