Boscobel, Kathryn, Liliana, the Shepherdess. Boscobel really has been an insane bloomer.
Perennial Blue
Penelope Lively... this bloom is 5 days old.
Lavender Lassie
Picked a load of Lady of Shalott blooms and was bowled over by the powerful licorice fragrance when we came downstairs this morning! I don't get any scent from it when it's on the plant.
I don’t get much from LoS either. I don’t usually cut roses for indoors but brought a few The Prince blooms in yesterday before they crisped and the scent was definitely stronger.
TP has recovered well after stripping it of all the burnt leaves. I’m hoping new blooms won’t crisp now temps are dropping a bit:
Cluster on Empereur Charles IV standard. I am tempted to cut this one, with the aid of a stool!
Lots of big clusters developing on Blush Noisette, but blooms are browning before opening. The air is very dry so don’t think it’s botyris. Thrips, maybe??
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
As the business is up for sale, I'm not sure about future releases from them, although I presume they have some in the pipeline for next year.. who knows?
Perennial Blue looking pretty stunning too there WAMS. Looks like DA have hit on a winner with Penelope Lively, I might be tempted by that one when it becomes available here in a couple of years. By which time you lot will have tested it to death for me!
A few more from the west end of the garden..
Now that’s more like it Lady Hillingdon, back to your eggy loveliness:
Lady Emma Hamilton standard:
Stormy Weather:

A very lovely selection there WAMS, The Shepherdess has rather passed me by but looking on HMF I now really fancy it. Do you rate it highly?
After the heatwave it is very nice to be comfortable again, low to mid 20s for the week ahead, perfect. I hope you too get a rewarding lot of roses again Nollie, those are looking good.
Lots of deadheading and pulling off the brown or diseased leaves and everything looks lovely again.
I have reduced my pots quite a bit and have a home elsewhere for a couple more, now thinking it would be sensible to cancel the TCL order. Then again I use that as a bit of a lucky dip. From last year I have been particularly happy with Eufemia Gabriel Oakand Feminine Touch has really grown on me, its health is exceptionalProbably my favourite rose, Odyssey, is giving its third full flush
Good to see so many lovely roses despite the wet weather..
@Tack has the scent improved on Feminine touch? I was just thinking to ask you about Eufemia the other day, as I am too impressed so far with NIRP roses.
I am too getting tempted by Penelope L, probably best wait for next years release for now as my bare root wish list has exceeded the ones I discarded.
Liked the colouring on Liliana WAMS..
@Marlorena would you not recommend Mrs John Laing for a pink rose? I saw it repeating on your posts quite a bit while I was catching up..
@Eustace how did you feel about Jayne Austins flowering and scent..? I saw Nollie's post, being impressed by her scent..
@cooldoc I'm always a bit reluctant to recommend roses from the 19thC.. whilst it may be a favourite of mine, these roses can be iffy for other people, as they take time to develop. It's not continuous in bloom, 2 distinct flushes. So that's my disclaimer if you're disappointed with it. Disease resistance is quite good though, especially early in the season. Some later issues after July but nothing to put me off.
You look as though you've found yourselves a nice property.

I just noticed your question about new roses this year, for Beales. They released 2 earlier. Both look rather similar to me..
