@Busy-Lizzie, I hadn't realized you had also got Ghislaine de Feligonde, we could compare notes. I'm very pleased with mine so far in it's first year, masses of blooms and more buds to come. A bit floppy which is to be expected.
Yes, I planted her in 2019 in the Norfolk garden and she seems to like it here. My daughter has a lovely one which is why I wanted it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Alfie_ Not the rose's fault... my conditions are very alkaline and it gets chlorosis and other mineral deficiencies, despite feeding with acid food.. I used Vitax Seaweed with sequestered Iron as a drench.. more like 3 weeks ago actually, but it might have sent up these basals anyway but the new growth looks as it should..
My Gruss an Aachen is similar colours just now... just a splash of added apricot.
My hand-me-down ( year 2, but year 1 for me) WS2000 is quite tall and not floppy at all. Unphotographable... too red. Beautiful strong scent.
Sweet Jessica goes all sorts of lovely shades of apricot, peach and pink. Hasty snaps at ankle level... it is only a foot high.
Arthur and Vanessa Bell canoodling.
Last hurrah from Ebb Tide on death row. This tiny bloom was about two inches from the ground. Had hoped against hope for a Lazarus turn from this weedy plant but... nope.
Good luck to @Nollie and @Elbfee contending with rogue washing machines and voles respectively. The continent sounds a perilous place!
We had a bit of rain yesterday evening; so petals strewn all around. Plan for the weekend is to finish deadheading all the roses that have finished their first flush.
Happy to see that 3-month old bareroot The Lark Ascending has put out its first flower.
It's a wonderful life 💗 English Miss in the rain is showing colour variation. The Pilgrim - difficult to photograph as it is now grown quite tall. L'Aimant - last season it was blackspot ridden, much improved this season.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth

I have membrane down, so weeds not much of a problem.. rain just drains right through..
@Alfie_
lol..well, ok..
.. pleased you got them ok.. special reserves, that's a new one..
@cooldoc
.. your rose border is glowing.. I was wondering what it looked like overall..
Yes, feed your rose... I wouldn't have cut it back quite so much, but it's done..

2 weeks ago I gave 'Eustacia Vye' a good talking to.. as she was getting on my nerves in various ways..
I also fed it with some root stimulant..
Today.. I have at least 8 basals..
'Mrs. John Laing'..
