What plant supports do people use for potted Austin roses with large blooms? I’ve used some bamboo canes and string for my Princess Alexandria to keep it off the floor. On the DA website they must use a support for the picture in a pot to be that upright with such huge blooms:
@qv9cmvkjnkKbX8UYqD did the white flowers open fully before turning brown? If so, it could be the usual with most white roses.. all roses would get darkened petals as they age.. with white ones the browning becomes more obvious and yes they don't look great.. you can always deadhead them or prune them back.. If the blooms go brown before opening, then it could be 'Balling'.. you could try opening the outer petals with your fingers..
nicely captured swirls on that Fragrant plum @WAMS
@Eustace those droplets on Sweet Honey... like dew drops...
@Imprevu Baron Girod de l'ain was something I was eyeing for long.. will see how it does for you this season...
@Oliya the scent on Elizabeth is a hit or miss.. strong if you can pick it up at the right time or else mild..
Marlorena, that John Laing should be really good to have that review.. but, even if you pick up a dog rose and say it's amazing then its Market value would go up...
@Tack my Bring me sunshine (I was about to type as BMS and remembered Lizzie ) is literally on the floor.. I think Marlorena is growing her up an Obelisk?
I just had a brainwave 🧐 and the name of my pink rose came back to me … I’m pretty sure it’s You’re Beautiful, just googled it and it was voted Rose of The Year 2013. I thought it had some sort of sentimentality in the name as I bought it to commemorate my dog, who was beautiful 🥰
@MrsBeeKeeper omg our posts crossed, I’ve been trying to remember it’s name for ages and it suddenly came to me, thank you for confirming my thoughts 😀

Grosvenor House. The more perfectly shaped flower came out fuzzy. Not many are out yet which is why I only took photos of single flowers.
