Dioressence.. more darker than the following two in colour..
Twice in a blue moon..
Pacific Blue.. new this year.. scent similar to Twice in a blue moon.. slightly smaller than previous two but fuller flowers..
Julio Iglesias.. loving it so far.. petal packed blooms than Scentimental and consistently strong fragrance.. stays of the plant for ages..
Crazy fashion (along with Dioressence).. blooms are bigger and heavier.. supposed to be a HT.. but as with all new HTs, it produces cluster of blooms..
Sweet delight.. new this year.. I just love this.. a replacement for Double delight..
Enchantress..
One in a million.. got strong fragrance this year.. blooms did not fry as it was in a less than ideal shady spot..
Artemis.. will have to leave this behind, despite the great flower show..
Augusta Luise.. has saved itself from getting left behind..
Just a few photos taken today. Cloudy, bright weather is perfect for photography.
Another unknown. I'm sure it's a DA though. Belle de Jour. It's a lovely healthy plant, and very heat resistant Lady of the Lake, beloved by bees Buff Beauty has been superb so far this year. Overall view
Tadpole update, have several like this with their back legs
And spotted two more developed ones, one of them being a proper froglet trying to get out of the water. So I’ve made them a raised pebble beach inside the tank and lowered the water level a bit so they can have some time out of the water.
Will be releasing soon most likely.
Oh for size reference, which is hard with the super closeups to tell, the froglet is about the size of my little finger nail.
Whole day with thunder but only 14 minutes of light drizzle. Enough time to set up comfrey drip. Added some nettles too.
@Marlorena you said, you prefer Gabriel Oak over Young Lycidas. My Lycidas lost almost all stems and the remainder are split. Should I try harder to save it, if so, what can I do to trigger basals. Or go for Gabriel instantly. Although I hate to give up on a rose. Imogen indeed sheds the petals after 3 days in a delightful show of snow shower. Just like Scepter'd Isle. Nice self cleaners.
Showed @Mr. Vine Eye picture of Royal Jubilee to my one bloom wonder. Hope it is duly impressed and feels the pressure.
@WAMS nigella (love in the mist sounds so much better than the German name for it which is virgin in the green) is self seeding. Threw out a lot of special cornflower colours. None appeared. But the section where the goldfinch harvested last year is now again full of blue cornflowers. And the goldfinch is already patrolling the field for seeds to eat. It is really satisfying to see how the variety of fauna increases after I reduced the lawn and increased flower beds.
@cooldoc really like or all your mauve roses. Possibly because I currently try all in that colour that I can get.
@Athelas after some checking I am convinced that your Draga / Hallie and my Draga Frayla are the same. From Pheno Geno. After a hot day today it turned from true red to quite pink.
Here is another Pheno Geno, recommended for eating.
Chandos has one of the best scents and very pretty blooms.
Dusky Maiden a rose to make the bees happy.
Like a little posy.
Don't know if that one is still sold as I took it from the park that no longer is. I have another rose from there that is officially not sold anymore, Mikolas Ales. Unfortunaltely it balls even after weeks of dry weather. I feel compelled to keep it to prevent it from extinction. But then I only have that much garden. What do I do?
