@pitter-patter that cake of yours is just amazing! As well as you garden.
Lovely roses and gardens you all, @pippip at a first look I thought the squirrel was fake, like the garden fake birds you sometime see. Then I realized it was a real one and started to laugh in delight.
The flower on Love Song are opening up, I like them very much and I find the little shrub very tidy.
Lady Emma Hamilton too is starting to diffuse its wonderful scent all over the garden. I can’t really understand why they discontinued it, a mystery to me.
Julia Child/AbFab
And my beloved Desprez a Fleur Jaune. I don’t know and I can’t explain why I love this rose so much, every time I see it I feel happy.
My camera is broken ..[overuse?].. so I've had to resort to the mobile phone.. 'Cornelia'.. 'Bring Me Sunshine' on a 2 mtr obelisk.. ascending quite well.. Parahebe 'Avalanche'.. I lost some of these in winter.. Geranium 'Red Admiral'.. new to me..
@dabolem, you have me quite excited about both LEH and Love Song. My very bad dog munched a cane off it soon after planting, but it has grown another, alleluia, and there are a few tiny buds. And your Desprez à is perfection!
ETA: don't roses look very different and interesting from side-on sometimes? PAoK
@Tack thank you for the lists. Interesting! I am using the frying sun as an excuse to cut lots of blooms for the living room.
So many gloriously beautiful roses to catch up on! I had over twenty pages to look at and it’s been a pleasure.
@Littlegarden sorry for the delay, the paint and colour is Cuprinol garden shades in natural stone.
It does make a nice backdrop for the Albrighton rambler.
@Alfie_ I’ve had my first bloom on PAoK and I love the scent, like a blueberry muffin! Although sadly it didn’t last long, the bloom has pretty much wilted away today, so I cut it off.
Emily Brontë is starting to wake up
Loving Roald Dahl’s blown out stage
Showing all stages of colour
Wollerton is just like delicious scoops of ice cream!
Eustacia Vye
The edges of Desdemona are crisping up, the front garden is south facing so she is getting the full blast of the sun.
Bridge of Sighs is definitely starting to go over. When do you all give the roses a second feed - at a set time or when the first flush is finishing? If a rose flowers all the way through, does it matter exactly when you give the second feed?
