@Marlorena thanks for the info. I presume all the Austin roses in that top 10 you recently mentioned are non stop bloomers May-Sep; LoS, Scarborough F and Kew G? If my favourite rose qualities are predominantly colour (pink) and good fragrance and I wanted a non stop continuous bloomer from an Austin would you recommend Scepter'd I and Scarborough F then?
As I was going around deadheading, (already !) I took some more photos. This is my red standard just coming into flower. This years cooler temperature has kept them predominantly red with white centres, if it gets hotter they may again turn alot more white. Desdemona has alot of pink this year And my favourite two continue to produce
@purplerallim Wow! for your Blue For You. @Oliya I believe the rose you have inherited is Benjamin Britten. I really like the way that you have described the scent and I don't think I will be able to describe like that ever!
Thank you @Rojas I actually wondered if this could be BenjB. It was in the bed with another two Austins - Lichfield Angels. But those had their tags attached and this one didn’t have a tag. Also it seemed too upright to be an Austin. But it looks so much like yours! I actually have BenjB potted in the back garden but it’s in a quite shaded location so it’s not blooming yet and the leaves don’t have red tint to them but the shape looks very similar. I got it bare root in previous season and planted in the ground where it’s really struggled (I think it’s suffered out a single flower for me and that was at the ground level…). I moved it to the pot this winter and it looks much happier now (probably because it actually gets watered!). I guess I just have to wait for the first flower on my BenjB to do a proper comparison. Off I go to twiddle my thumbs!

@Marlorena that’s very close, but this didn’t have the yellow centre on any of the blooms, it was white instead
