    Apropos 'Danahue'... has anyone else noticed the unusual breeder's code designation for this rose?
    All DA roses have the prefix AUS but this one has usa6b15 .. how unusual.. I'm supposing the rose has already trialled in the U.S. to zone 6b, Sunset zone 15 [?], which covers N. California where they get mild but cooler winters than elsewhere in that State..
    Or, perhaps it's been there since 2015.. and due for release in 2024/5..?
    Well that's my take on it..

    I think I can scrap that, it does have the Aus code...  it's AUSa6b15.. I was going by the DA Instagram page and they left out the A..   still, it's an odd one..

    I did notice the weird breeder code Marlorena and imagined a scenario where they had had another rose lined up for release... AUSking or AUSwindsor or whatever... but the King refused permission to use his name, and so they trotted out this other backup rose they had been saving for a rainy day.

    Or perhaps it is just David Austin Jr dispensing with a little bit more of their tradition and history and making the roses seem even more like a mere commercial product with a barcode stamped down the stem.

    Any roses which would be appropriate for celebrating a football team going from non-league to the premiership? Elbfee, very sorry about your team

    Congratulations! What are the team colours to help you choose the right rose? Bavaria, again, it sucks. Maybe my home team will manage to go back to first league tomorrow. Can't think of a blue black rose... Have just decided to visit a park tomorrow that shows 40 theme gardens. Yes, they do have a shoppe.

    @agnasia
    I like the scent but I find the rose, as a shrub, frustrating... the bloom colour is not always to my liking, or the shape of them, held on short stems atop stiff hybrid tea like canes, they look rather squat and dumpy.. so I find it rather graceless.
    I loved it when I first had it, but now not so much..

    Your roses are looking great..
