Thanks for that @Marlorena. What a total pain though. I'll have a go at that.  :)
As others have said - the approx. location is very helpful for any advice being offered. Crazy that it's now not there, and as @Dovefromabove says, many people don't see the signature option.
I only noticed mine was missing when @clematisdorset mentioned it. I've just noticed the points thing too when I looked at my profile, and that's only because I was giving a poster the info on changing their username and I wanted to make sure I had the correct info to give them.

I tried to change my username and it told me that I didn't have permission to do it.

I've changed it back too. Horrible. Doesn't do my autistic sensitivities any good either.
I'd add it to the signature, but as many folk can't see those, it seems slightly pointless.

The other problem is that whole malarkey itself re having to go to the G'sW.com, my hub thing, because the settings on there are different from the ones on the forum itself. The signing out and signing in again is also convoluted. Bonkers.

Did you try it from the 'my hub' setting @Pauline 7?

@Fairygirl I do understand. I am wondering that should smartphone users wish to see the text in the 'signature box'  maybe they can do so by changing the mode in which they view the screen. Something like an old-school mode - I cannot recall the terminology - but this is also another faff.

I really don't know @clematisdorset - I don't own a smartphone, so I only know about the problems re the signature strip because others have mentioned it.
The irony is that when the site was updated a few years ago it was supposed to make it easier for those using a phone, and it really hasn't done that at all. They have far more problems with the photo uploading, for example.  :/

@Fairygirl thank you for your thoughts. I have checked and I think I mean the smartphone setting option of ' desktopsite' but this setting may well reduce the text and images to a size so small as to be unreadable/unseeable.

Yes, I read quite a bit about the problems with uploading photos from a smartphone. I am sorry these glitches are continuing after the re-vamp you mentioned.

I have not tried adding photos yet.... :)

I think I have done this wrong?

@GardenerSuze that is very helpful for me, as I am not using a smartphone. :)

@clematisdorset Thankyou. How can anyone make a judgement without knowing if a member lives in the North or South of the country, or abroad. The soil type of the person giving and receiving it is also important.

    No - that's worked @GardenerSuze
I might put mine in there, but it'll tend to make the pic there 'wrong'  ;)

If you generally keep the photos smaller than 1MB @clematisdorset , they usually load ok.  All my photos are about 4MB or more, so I resize everything as a matter of course. You'd have to look at what editing you have on your device. We should be able to load much bigger ones but that's the thing that's a problem, especially for people with slower internet speed.
The @ thing isn't working properly for me now.... :|
