@Dovefromabove oh thank you for that, yes it now only really helps people who really are lost!!! No good to you then? (Or anyone!)  :)

It's a bit annoying because a few months ago we managed to convince each other to add the location. I found it useful and interesting
    In London. Keen but lazy.

@B3 oh I see. Has the location field been visible/available ( for those who wish to use it) for years then? I agree very handy, even in a general sense.

Problem is signatures aren’t visible if you’re using a phone. 😒
Oh dear! No easy answers then!

If you'd like an alternative option, albeit a bit longer winded..

    click on
Gardener's World Home.. top left corner
this takes you to main Home Page

click on 'My Hub' top right hand corner
from drop down menu click on 'settings'

Here you will see your 'screen name'
In this box you can type, without leaving any spaces, your location added to your name.
I've inserted dashes below as an example, it might work with dots or some other sign..

    e.g.
    Marlorena---MayfairW1

    Save
You must then sign out and sign back in again..

Thanks for that @Marlorena. What a total pain though. I'll have a go at that.  :)
As others have said - the approx. location is very helpful for any advice being offered. Crazy that it's now not there, and as @Dovefromabove says, many people don't see the signature option.
I only noticed mine was missing when @clematisdorset mentioned it. I've just noticed the points thing too when I looked at my profile, and that's only because I was giving a poster the info on changing their username and I wanted to make sure I had the correct info to give them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I tried it and it wouldn't let me have - west central Scotland. Too many letters, but it also says there can't be any spaces.
I've done it without any and that's worked, but it looks daft.  :/

No - not working, despite saving the changes. No idea!

I rather like the alternative option as one can be a bit 'left field' so to speak..

    I mean I could be

    Marlorena---VisitorFromMars

    lol...

I signed out and back in, and that seems to have worked. Daft.
Might as well be from Mars @Marlorena---VisitorFromMars, and that's what comes up when you do the @ and start typing your name!  :D
