Good morning all, cloudy and chilly today. I love autumn colours Pat , thank you for sharing yours. I have my follow up appointment for my hip this afternoon, I think all is OK, the x-rays look good to me! I hope all is well in the Dove household, I think Wonky is going to help out? Take care all. See you later.
Morning all. It's all kicking off in our town at the moment - there have been some buskers in the centre of town. I noticed a young man playing a guitar and singing as I walked past the other day and crossed to take a picture. Two other young men sprang up and said they had been called to our town by God and would be here all week, spreading the word. Oh dear, I thought, and walked on.
Later someone posted on Facebook complaining about the racket so I posted my pic and said I thought the music sounded nice. But they play for a few hours at a time and the music is quite loud. A musician friend, who lives near where they are playing cannot work.
We are wondering if they were called to Bungay as a result of recent tabloid attention we have had - apparently we have the largest number of Satanists in England and Wales, according to recently released census data.
Mild, damp and overcast. No rain forecast. Speaking to a goat cheese maker at the market this morning, he said the drought is so serious, that he is very very worried about his flock of goats. There is just no rain. He lives in a mountainous area a good couple of hours drive from here.
@floralies I am sure your follow up will be fine. Haven't heard any more from @Busy-Lizzie about her OH although he did gallop to church on Sunday!! I hope his pain is less. @Lizzie27 Don't you have to rest your arm for 2 weeks following a steroid injection otherwise there's no point? So be careful. @Dovefromabove Enjoy your weekend relaxing. Wonky is in charge!! @Pat E Although spring is colourful - it announces summer which I hate (apart from having lots of fresh fruit and vegetables). I much prefer the golden days of autumn, cleaning up the garden, the smell of burning leaves and coming in to light the fire and a good hot soup. It's easier to keep warm in winter than trying to keep cool in summer.
Stepped out the door with the secateurs yesterday afternoon and didn't stop clipping for a couple of hours. Cleared up, swept and felt satisfied in spite of a singing back!!! Put lots of Indian pain balm on last night (extra strong!!) - bit better this morning so made a trip to the tip and that's a job well done (and dusted).
Had the best evening yesterday - went to see the ABBA concert in London. Great atmosphere, lots of singing and dancing and the holograms were incredible. You honestly thought they were there. Never seen anything like it 😀
Today I have seeds to tend to and more cutting back to do - a bit like @Lizzie27, every time I try to get on with stuff the rain comes down in stair rods.
Typical Spring day, sunshine, followed by heavy rain, then sun again. Managed a little weeding, whilst Moira has been edging the lawns. They look so much better when they are done. Most window sills are now full of seeds and the Cannas are in the bay window. I don’t tend to be very popular at this time of year.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Afternoon folks, many thanks for that info @punkdoc, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work and trying not to use that arm much, although that's a bit difficult being my right one. I probably shouldn't have done any digging yesterday then @tui34, but needs must sometimes.
Concert sounds good @chicky, I do love a good Abba song! We're still having stairrod rain here interspersed with sunshine, just sufficiently long enough to to entice you out of the door but not long enough to get anything useful done.
@tui34, OH went for a short walk up the lane the other day and he came to the SM with me on Thursday. This morning he was chipping ice off NDN's ice box. Fridge was leaking and ice had built up and pushed the ice box door open, but also stuck it so it was quite a job to open it and chip a lot of the ice out. Must be years since she de-frosted it.
This morning I weeded and edged the front path, but not finished yet. It's brick and a lot of the bricks are cracking up because of the cold winter.
The consultant was very pleased with my progress and said x-ray was excellent thank you @tui34 and @Busy-Lizzie, in fact he is so pleased with his work he would like to see me in a years time to have the other one done
Good evening everyone, home again, jigidy jig! We were back by just after 4 . We took our friends out for a late breakfast at a fairly new place called the old store. It's become very busy very quickly. We are not normally big fans of cooked breakfast but it was excellent and it meant we didn't have to stop on the way back. A big mix of sun and showers all day, but an uneventful trip back. Good view of the space station tonight in a rare, moment of clear skies.

Hope the meds work for you @Pat E.
Good luck with the hip review @floralies.
Looking forward to the weekend for a family gathering with all my siblings and their partners. My little sister's birthday on Sunday.
Hope everybody enjoys their weekend as well. Nearly forgot - saw the first bluebells this morning! Spanish ones I expect.

Have a lovely family gathering @Lizzie27. I like that sort of event.
I think we should book him in now!
