That is progress indeed @Dovefromabove, I'm so pleased to hear that Rob is getting on so well. Loose fitting joggers are good for physio and for getting on and off.
Sorry, forgot to say goodmorning to all.

    Morning all,

    That is splendid news @Dovefromabove.

Pleased you liked the photos @Pat E. Don't worry about your garden, just concentrate on getting better.

Great news that the beech was saved @Punkdoc.

Hope your mortgage is granted soon @D0rdogne_Damsel, it's such a trial waiting for that to come through, you feel like you're in limbo for ages. It'll happen I'm sure and then everything will be rush, rush, rush.

It's cold out there this morning and dipped below freezing at 4 am. I know that because I went down to the kitchen for paracetamol as my shoulder was aching. Going to take it easy today as other bits of me are also aching, think I overdid it yesterday!

@Hostafan1, hope Cruse is proving helpful.

Does anybody use Capsaicin cream for arthritic fingers and is it any use? Saw it recommended on internet last night.

Morning everyone,  a brighter dryer start today. You're not the only one that overdid things yesterday @Lizzie27 but sadly mine wasn't in the garden.  The cupboard/ shelves are in the utility area, the hardest part was drilling some holes for brackets to put at the top to prevent them falling forwards.  I don't know what the bricks are in the old garage, I just know they are bl**dy hard. Mind you it's much better when the drill isn't in reverse 🥴,  still not sure how that happened.   "Just " the other set to go in dining room now, but had to get a man in to remove an old gas fire pipe, that we had forgotten about,  luckily it wasn't live so he could just remove it, waiting for the filler to dry so I can do the next bit.
Good to hear more progress  being made.

Good afternoon to some wonderful news from @Dovefromabove  !!!

Beautiful weather here today - spring weather!! 17°C.   It will probably be rotten tomorrow !  It's the sort of day where it is warmer outside than inside.  Windy though.

@Lizzie27 I use Tiger Balm and some other pain balm I bought whilst in India.  I also wear those support gloves.  I try and keep my hands warm.  I have it in both my wrists.

Nice warming and comforting message @Hostafan1  Words do heal.

    Mi piace questa espressione @coccinella

@Busy-Lizzie    I hope your OH is feeling a bit better today.  He's just going to have to go with the flow for a month or two.  At least he has had the operation so that hip pain has disappeared.  The surgery pain will go in time too.

I hope your sun comes out today, too.

    Good afternoon,

Not long back from the SM and butcher, so coffee time now, followed by a sandwich shortly. Popping round to a neighbour later to have a catch up and see how she’s progressing after an op a fortnight ago.

Such good news @Dovefromabove. Rob seems to be making excellent progress.

Woke up to a thin frost this morning but it’s clouding over now. Still chilly but not as cold as yesterday.

Glad your OH is feeling better @Busy-Lizzie. I’m sure that as each day passes he’ll feel a little stronger.

Lovely words sent to you @Hostafan, and so true.

Capsaicin is one of those natural compounds to which magical powers have been attributed, @Lizzie27. I have no idea whether it works, but it is known to be anti-inflammatory.

Thanks @punkdoc and @tui34. My hands and wrists are okay Tui, just a couple of fingers on my right hand are jolly painful at the moment - too much tapping away on this laptop I expect. I might give the chilli cream a go if my fingers don't improve. I could also ask the GP next week when he's doing my shoulder jab if he could do my fingers too!

It's turned quite cold and wintry now with heavy rain expected later.
