A big day!!! Rob’s doctor said he’s ok to drive so today he has been driving his boss around and he felt that R was perfectly capable and he was comfortable being a passenger with R driving, so R drove me all the way home from Needham Market to Norwich in my Alfa MiTo and I felt perfectly safe too.
So Rob’s going to be out and about. Short journeys to start with … he has to build his stamina up of course, but all systems are go 🚘
When this all started I was told he may well he in hospital into July!
I've just seen this. That's incredible and shows both Rob's determination and the support he's been getting from the medics and family.
I was a bit AWOL for a while and when I returned tried to find this thread to see how things were going. I'm SO glad the updates are so positive. Broomfield burns unit is incredible (been there, done that, but not for burns), and it looks like they've worked their magic again.
And, of course, the determination, work and support by Rob and his family.
The other believe it or not, that I’ve not got around to telling you, is that Rob’s “phased gentle return to work” didn’t go quite as planned … he found it too frustrating … this is the third week that he’s been back working more or less full time 🤪 … and as the business is based down near Ipswich it means over an hour driving each way every day. He continues to astound us. 😊

I hope he reaches it very soon
