Morning. Blowing a hooley here but need to go into town to the Photo shop. My cousin , In Australia, has had a visit from her sister and hubby all over Christmas and she's sent me an up to date photo of the whole family. Saw only some of them in 2012 when my brother died.Thought Id get a proper digital  photo printed out to take to mums the next time we visit. Not that she would recognise any of them but it will be there to show others. Also need to pick up a prescription.
Son gave 23 the latest picture painted by Grandpa of his ( current) super heroes.  He loved it! Apparently his eye lit up when he saw it and can't wait to get it up on his bedroom wall. Son sent a wee video of him last night and he said" I love  you grandma, grandpa"....bless him.

Surprisingly, I've located my log-in details pretty swiftly @debs64 - that normally involves a long search so I'm ahead of the game. They've already got the correct earnings/tax for 4 employments logged (that's a welcome development over recent years) so the adrenaline rush of a 2 mins to midnight submission might be avoided this year :D

Just the raaf duties to add, which involves trying to work out how many games and what expenses were involved doing each one. The annual cursing of my record-keeping is imminent methinks!

Typically, the sun is out and it looks a perfect gardening day :o Marti will be back tomorrow no doubt.

    Good afternoon all,

well it’s a very blustery day today, but the sky has been a lovely blue with hardly a cloud to be seen.

Had a few admin jobs to sort out necessitating a visit to our local town, so whilst there bought some fresh fish for the freezer. Back now, feet up with coffee. Got to go out later, though, unfortunately, but needs must.

    Afternoon all.

I came back from cottage and woods. It's beautiful sunny day, and much warmer than yesterday. I found lovely surprise in my mailbox, but later about that. Max and cats need dinner, and I need tea.

Everything is sorted now, and I have time to read back. Surprise is that seeds from UK finally arrived. They sent my three extra seed packages and bunch of labels.

I only thought about gardening, didn't actually do any. Quite a strong nippy wind sprang up and it felt much colder than it said on the garden thermometer, 9°.

I caught up with the hot metal thingy in front of the TV instead.

Nice name for your seeds @Ante1 - "Happy".

    Good evening all.
Hazel, it will have been so nice getting the little Vid of 23. I remember getting very cute Vids from my great nephews.
Biglad - Marti's back already here. Hope you can sort out the days you did raaf duties - you need a wall calendar!
Red maple, I hope the weather is not too unpleasant for you going out tonight.
Ante, what a fabulous surprise for you. I like surprises like that. Have you grown asparagus before Ante?
I have spent the best part of today in Spooksavers. Over the weekend I developed red eye syndrome. Not to put too fine a point on it - I looked like a vampire. I decided I better go to the pharmacy in 'sco and see if I could buy some eye drops. They took one look and suggested I go to the opticians area in the store. I did but was recommended to go to my own optician. As I was already in town I walked up to SS to be told that they had an appointment at 13:40. Drove home and pottered around. Decided to bus it back in the afternoon and I had a barrage of the usual tests. I told them my suspicions were definitely related to the re-potting of my cacti and the dusty natuire of their compost. Anyhow, there is nothing wrong with my eyes - no foreign bodies hidden in there - but they are very very dry. I have just to use the hydrating solution I already have plus bathing my eyes twice a day with cool bolied water. They are referring me to the local eye clinic which luckily is in town for further tests to make sure there is no underlying problem such as certain arthritic problems (!) or infection.
T'Bird D-Day minus one. Hope you are all packed up and you haven't forgotten anything major.
