Do you have squirrels @Liriodendron.? My mum is in Cavan. Never sees one. I've given up growing anything fruity or nutty😞

We're west of Loch Derg, which is big enough to have halted the grey squirrels so far, @B3.  There are reds around locally but we've not had them in the garden.  Here, it's blackbirds and magpies stealing (do I mean sharing?) the strawberries.   :)

    Thank you, @Lizzie27!

Hope you have a great tim and an easy journey @Liriodendron.  I remember your going to Finland pre-Covid so expect it'll be another great trip.

Thanks @Obelixx.  Yes, this is a biennial festival, which was held on line in 2021.  First time in a plane since 2019.  We looked at going by train and ferry, but the cost was astronomical...

@Liriodendron I wouldn't worry about travelling by air, if you concern is Covid.  Apparently the air in an aircraft is refreshed more often than in a hospital operating theatre - allegedly.

I think we actually had rain last night. Nothing disturbed my sleep, so I don't think we had a storm, but the tables outside have standing water and the local weather station says we had 3mm of rain. Huzzah!

Just enough rain to trash the diascia but they won't mind. Everything else is looking invigorated. There's definitely something in or not in rain. I know I wonder every year what it is and it's still a mystery. I'm not sure I really want to solve it.

    Hooray!  Rain at last.

After rumbling on all afternoon like the bowels of someone with food poisoning, the weather finally got its act together and emptied them onto the garden. 😊
    Yeah!!

    At least somewhere got it.
