Our sky in Norfolk is blue, same as @Dovefromabove's.  :)  Bit chilly though, may attempt some gardening.

@Busy-Lizzie We had a similar situation pre-covid.  Some clown had managed to rip all the phone lines down from the pole serving us.  When it was all repaired the engineer asked me to check the speed we were getting.  He said they were far lower than they should have been so checked the master phone outlet.  Two of the wires were in the wrong place, so although we were getting a service the speed was bad.  I can't say I had noticed, but the engineer did laugh when I told him it was a BT engineer who had replaced that box a few years previous.  We now have 70mbps one way and 20 the other.  Plenty quick enough for our needs.

Internet - summer before last an orange engineer came to fix somthing in the box on the post across the road that sends internet to us and the neighbours.  They were fixed but we were cut off.   Orange person on the "help" line wouldn't believe us so we went thru the rigmarole of new modem, visit to the house etc till someone finally clibed the pole and re-attached us.

6 weeks of faffing but we mentioned refunds after just a week and were immediately granted gigabytes of romaing data on OH's mobile phone to which we tethered our PCs.  Fine.

This year we got fibre optic installed.  Cleverly, they disconnected us at the junction box up the road before getting the fibre optic working.  Another month or so of faffing on tethered PCs.   All very well but the mobile signal here is oor so we need the landline that also come thru the internet.

Anyway, RTBC - new malus Adirondack arrived in the post today along with the two roses I ordered and a surprise rose - Lovely Lin - which apparently has good perfume and single flowers so great for pollinators and the new pollinators' bed I'm planning.

Oh @Busy-Lizzie .... that sounds a right sticky mess  :#

We only ever use glass jars for our honey ... the plastic jars are cheaper, but I don't think they look as nice.

Hope it didn't take too long to clean up your microwave.

It wasn't too messy @Bee witched as I didn't turn it on for long, but the jar was a funny shape  :D

Glass jars are fine, but you can't squeeze the honey over the fruit and Greek yoghurt for breakfast.

I had my pre-op assessment for my hip replacement yesterday and everything seems to be fine.  Came away with a bag of specialist washing material to be used for a week before the op, and cream to apply to each nostril.  Didn't have anything like that when I had my knee surgery but that was 20 years ago.  They certainly take infection prevention seriously.  What surprised me was that at present I need to be at the hospital for 11 am and should be in surgery by midday.  They don't hang around.

You are so lucky @KT53, we are jealous. OH's hip replacement has been postponed 6 times and he's been waiting over 3 years. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you.
