MFI didn't respond to IKEA design or marketing and easy collect and easy return so their demise was self-inflicted, as with many other furniture ad fashion companies strugging or gone under.

Reason to be cheerful today - it's snowing. A wonderful, slow, fat, soft snow that blankets the woods in silence. Not too much, just enough to make everything look clean and fresh. Not too cold, just a tiny whisper of your breath seen in the air. Not too heavy, just enough to stick to the branches but not weigh them down. A perfect snow.

Nothing to beat a nice snowfall @CrankyYankee. I love that silence I was looking at some photos yesterday, because we were discussing a famous tree in one of my favourite glens, and this is one of my favourites from that glen. It's a colour photo, and you can just make out the wreath at the foot. It was quite moving walking past it that day
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
We ordered IKEA units for our new utility room, it was quite fun browsing on line for what you need. We don't have one near us so had to be delivered, needless to say it is still in boxes waiting to be put together!
We have installed Ikea kitchens / utility rooms in our last two houses, and love the design and practicality. Before that, we used MFI but also had continual problems with missing parts, used to drive us mad. @CrankyYankee, that was so poetic!
A Blue Tit flew into the window earlier so I picked it up and put it in the dark box reserved for this for twenty minutes, and off it flew with a very perky tweet, tweet, no signs of damage apart from the slight concussion.
