Afternoon all, sorry about the results of tests @Pat E, take it easy and keep an eye on any accidental cuts if you are taking large doses of blood thinners.

DIL arrived safely last night, her train actually ran on time which we were surprised at.
A rather slow across country stopper one. We had a horrible journey this morningĀ  though when I took her up to a garage the other side of the M4 to be collected by a colleague of hers. It wasĀ  still dark when we left at 7.45 am with torrential rain and very heavy rush hour traffic. They were limiting to M4 traffic to 40 mph so glad we didn't have to join it. Coming back at 9 ish I was amazed at the amount of traffic still pouring into Bath and wondered where they were all going, too late for work or school presumably? Very strange.

That was kind of you @Busy-Lizzie to check on your NDN and clear the brambles/honeysuckle off her path. It's been wet here all day so I've only managed to refill the bird feeders but had to do more washing which is now in the tumble dryer.

I'm going to give up on crocus @Allotment Boy, my squirrels have had the lot I think apart from the ones I've got in pots in the greenhouse. The damage seems to be worse this year, not sure why.

Good luck with the hip op @floralies.

Time for a cuppa I think.

    Good evening.

’orrible weather today. I really fancied some dry days (or even hours) to get outside and start pottering on my few days off but it’s not looking good for that.Ā

Take care all, particularly @Pat E and anyone with worries.Ā

More wind and rain today, think they shut the Seven Bridge this evening diverting the traffic over the old route which caused some traffic chaos. Trains couldn't get into Carmarthen town due to the lines/tracks all flooding, but this is normal during wet spells as the huge river that flows a few miles from us and down through the low ground alongside the A40 always floods. Luckily we are some 800 feet up above all this so the water just flows passed us, down our fields and joins the steams in the valleys below eventually adding to the 'big' river. I feel so sorry for folk who get regularly flooded, so sole destroying.
Sorry to hear your news @Pat E this covid seems to cause all sorts of different problems even after one has recovered. Take care and look after yourself.

Good morning all. Ā I’m feeling rather washed out after yesterday’s crazy adventure which I haven’t explained to you yet, but my GP rang a short while ago and we had a good chat. She’s confident that the blood thinning treatment will do the job. I’m still going to keep my appointment with her on Friday, so we can talk about how I feel about the new treatment. Ā

Thanks very much for all you good wishes. I really appreciate them very much.Ā

The tale of yesterdays adventure is as follows:
The Community Driver collected me at 9am and we got to Canberra at 11. After the usual wait and being put under the huge machine (I’m claustrophobic by the way) Ā and then waiting another hour before being told I could go, I was advised that I had to go to Canberra Hospital for a consultation.😳 We (my lovely driver, named Lyn and I ) Ā sat there until 4pm, and still being not seen, we decided to bugger off home. On the way home, between various phone calls with my GP and Hubby we eventually got back to our town where Hubby met us at the Pharmacy with my new medication and eventually home. Ā Whew! I don’t want to repeat that day again. Ā

Anyway, I’m being very lazy today and enjoying it. 😁

I forgot to say that after my breakfast at 6.30am, I didn’t get another meal until I got home at about 6pm. Luckily I’d taken my water bottle with me or I’d have been parched.Ā

    Good morning all.

Crisp, cold but the sun could shine through these sparse stratus today. Ā Markets this morning for an amble around. Ā

What a day @Pat E Ā Waiting rooms become a usual thing as you get older!!! Ā I must admit that during Covid when I fractured my floating rib last Christmas, I was in, promptly x-rayed and basically shoved out within half an hour. Ā Results on internet.

Have a warm and dry day!

    Morning all.

The sky looks clear. Wonder if I can start on the garden?

That's France @tui34, where people get seen quickly. Not like that in the UK. I don't know what is normal in Australia.

Yes @Busy-Lizzie Ā  Seen swiftly, but an hour's wait to see the radiologist and then wait for the typed up results. Ā  Anyway, that was before Covid. Ā  Ā You don't see the radiologist now for explanations. Ā

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
Glad you’re feeling reassured after your talk with your GP @Pat E 😊 it does sound a tiring day day.Ā
Experiences certainly vary widely at the moment … my son had a hospital appointment last week for a checkup with his ENT consultant at the big hospital at Ipswich, following his second ear op … he was seen as soon as he arrived, didn’t even sit down in the waiting room, and was out even before he’d used up the free half hour of parking!Ā

It’s a clear dry morning here in Norfolk … so far … here in Norfolk. I spoke to Wonky yesterday evening … she’d got soaked through yesterday! šŸ™„ It was very wet … wetter than most wet days šŸ˜‰Ā

Good morning all and a big hug to @Pat E. We are not called "patient" for nothing, eh?
My trip to the GP was comsi comsa, he doesn't want to take responsibility for lowering my dose of thyroid hormon. So he gave me another blood test in 3 weeks time .... meh.

I also have skin rashes again he said nothing to worry about, special soap and body cream prescribed. He was more concerned with the state of my nerves 😔😔 I so wanted to say "do you wonder why?".  I am going to London tomorrow, I am determined that it is going to be a great trip (including the difficult bits). If I can I will report here friday morning, if not see you all next week.

Take care and look after number one
