  • I came down at 6.15 to make a cuppa and it was raining then and has rained solidly since.Everything sodden, no prospect of getting much done outside and there's so much I want to do. Frustrating!

    Morning all.

Heavy rain forecast here too. Lots here to do in the garden as well.

@tui we will always have to come and go but since Covid, Brexit and OH's hip we can't choose when and Ryanair flights for £10 are a thing of the past.

    Hello everyone,

Its a very wet and miserable day here, too. I doubt I’ll be going out in it, but I’ve got some indoor things to be getting on with nice I stir myself.

There are outdoor garden jobs waiting to be done but I’m afraid they’ll have to wait a bit longer. At least the daffodils and snowdrops are beginning to sprout shoots, so something to look forward to.

Morning all.Ā  It's pretty grim outside.Ā  Keeping an eye on myself as OH has been under the weather with the bug that seems to be going around - sore throat etc.Ā  So far so good with me, which is just as well as everything is cranking up now.Ā  The local authority has some funding we (and everyone else in our area) can apply for, for various projects so there will be more meetings to discuss that.Ā  And there is the Coronation - what are we going to do for that?Ā  I'm reluctant to join with the Town Council as I did for the Jubilee last year to plan it,Ā  which I found v.stressful - all those egos jostling for position!Ā  Personally I would be happy to watch it on TV and be done with it but I'm sure most of the townsfolk would want some kind of celebratory activity to take place.

I’m not feeling happy. I have Ā clots in my lungs (from the Covid infection last Sept.Ā ). 🤬🤬🤬. I’m now on large doses of blood thinner tablets. Ā  Not prepared to discuss this situation until I see my GP later in the week. Catch you later

Oh @Pat E Ā Not good news, is it? Ā The only thing you can do is take the prescribed medication and rest.

    Sending hugs down to you.

I'm sorry to hear that @Pat E. I hope the meds help. Hugs.

Horrible outside. Went out to bring in the brown garden bin which they have emptied. Normally Friday, should have been yesterday, glad it's been done as it was full of all the stuff I pruned to clear NDN's path and I will be needing it for our garden, once the weather is suitable.

Hello all, hugs to you @Pat E take your meds and try not to worry.Ā
Rather busy here at the moment, went to see the consultant about my hips, he said I should have them done otherwise the pain will only get worse and I I won't be able to do much, so I had my pre op assessment yesterday and filled in loads of forms and have my op in a couple of weeks time. PCR test for Covid to be done before going in.
The sun is out today after yesterdays heavy rain, and the birds are getting through their food even though the weather is mild!

  • Good afternoonĀ  Ā all, sorry to hear of medical ills. After a dry day yesterday another horrible wet one today.Ā  Just back from Opticians for the re run of my DVLAĀ  eye test.Ā  Seems to be OK missed a couple of the little lights in the centre which Opticians seem to think is OK as nothing to do with glaucoma( you loose peripheral vision if anything). Luckily mine is stable and well controlled.Ā  Will have to wait for new license to come now.Ā
On the garden front, checking pots again the bl**dy squirrels have been at the crocus bulbs. We  took the wire mesh off a couple of the pots as the bulbs were beginning to come up through. The little sods have ruined one lot completely.  I  thought once they were growing they would leave them alone . Fool that I am  ☹
