I've always had an aversion to folk who like dressing up in odd clothes and telling others what to do.

What is the name of your vine @Suesyn? Mine is a "Brandt" which was recommended for the climate here, but has not kept a single leaf!

    Morning all.

At the the Bishop of York and the Bishop of Oxford don't agree and would marry gay couples if allowed.

@Susyn grape vines can take pretty hard pruning in winter when dormant.

Justin Welby will offer blessings but not agree to marrying gay couples because he has a duty of care to the whole community.  What does that even mean - that he would be going against what the community wants?  Why single out gay people in his protection of the whole community?  Why not poor people, or black people or asian people, or tories as well?

Nice to see you back here @Hostafan1!

Right, having written a couple of project proposals that took far longer than I thought they would - I'd better get dressed.

It makes no sense whatsoever, does it? What does he mean by “duty of care” in this context?

clearly no " duty of care " to gay CoE followers, just carry on treating them like second class believers

Evening everybody, thick horrible fog all day instead of more sunshine as forecast.

We've been out for lunch in a pub with friends - very pleasant. We also stopped off at a nursery to stock up on bark mulch which I will spread once the soil has defrosted, it's absolutely solid at the moment.
